Reports To: :Packaging Supervisor
Compensation: : $20-$23/hr
Job Summary: :To provide a variety of light carpentry work for packaging and crating division.
Essential Job Duties::
- Assembling precut crates with nail gun.
- Bracing parts in crates with nail gun or staple gun.
- Stacking and inventory lumber.
- Moving machine parts into assembled crates.
- Securing product in crate.
- Clean up of work areas to prepare for the next crate.
- This list of job responsibilities is not all-inclusive; job duties/assignments may change at management’s discretion within federal and state regulations.
- Basic ability for carpentry tools, measuring, nail gun and sawing.
- Level of work required is walking, carrying, bending, and lifting on a regular basis. Lifting of no more than 50 lbs. at one time.
- Exposure to warehouse temperatures.
- Forklift experience
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- - Education Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent diploma.
- - Experience Requirements - One to two years’ experience in carpentry.
- - Language Skills -Mid-level language skills. Ability to read and write routine correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with employees of the organization.
- - Mathematical Skills - Intermediate level mathematics skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- - Reasoning Ability - Intermediate level of reasoning ability, able to identify problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, make suggestions for supervisory approval.
- - Other Important Characteristics - Excellent memory recall, organizational skills, and ability to work independently as well as a team member. Excellent Customer Service Skills.
